The Buddylicious Production Story

From Forest Floor to Premium Deer Antler Chew

Buddylicious Wild Deer Antler Chews begin their journey in the vast forests of Central Europe, where wild deer naturally shed their antlers each year. These shed antlers are carefully collected from the woodland floor - an ethical, sustainable process that never involves harming or disturbing the animals (please read about naturally shed deer antlers here).

Once gathered, the antlers are transported to our production facility, where they undergo thorough cleaning to remove dirt and debris while preserving their natural integrity. Each antler is then cut to size according to our product range.

We create two types of chews to suit different chewing styles:

•    Hard Chews: Cut as solid pieces, encouraging dogs to work gradually through the tough exterior to reach the nutritious, spongy core. Available in small, medium & large

•    Easy Chews: Split lengthwise to immediately expose the inner marrow-like centre, offering a more accessible chew for younger or less aggressive chewers. Available in small, medium & large

After cutting, every chew is carefully buffed - the edges are smoothed to ensure a safe, comfortable chewing experience for dogs of all sizes.

Next, all pieces pass through a metal detection system, guaranteeing that no foreign materials are present and ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.

Finally, the antler chews are sorted by size, labelled, and packed - ready to bring dogs a long-lasting, natural, and wholesome chewing experience straight from the heart of Europe’s wild forests.

Chew Safety: Antlers are very hard and long-lasting, but that hardness can be too tough for some dogs. For these reasons we recommend our deer antler chews to all dogs older than 6 months and discourage use for very old dogs with dental problems/weaknesses. Always supervise chewing, choose the right size for your dog, and discontinue use if the chew becomes small enough to swallow or if your dog shows dental discomfort.
